Family Of 10 Turns Down 5-Bedroom Home, Costs Taxpayers

Now, I’ve seen EVERYTHING! Some people JUST don’t get it!

They would rather continue to sponge off other people’s money than do something productive….like get a job so they can support themselves.

Here’s a family that was offered not ONE, but at least TWO 5-bedroom homes to live in, but turned them down. They’d rather stay in their nice hotel rooms at the expense of the taxpayers. Talk about INSANITY!

A family of 10 has criticized a British council for not providing a large enough home after they turned down a five-bedroom house and were put up in a hotel for four months — which was paid for by taxpayers.

Arnold Malle Sube and his wife Jeanne live in a three-bedroom council house in Luton, Bedfordshire, with their eight children. They say their living situation is “terrible,” but turned down a larger home due to lack of space. The couple says they need at least six double bedrooms to live comfortably, notes the Daily Mail.
Me and my family have been neglected,” Arnold told the Mirror. “It’s so cramped and the conditions are terrible. Everyone is sleeping everywhere and my wife is sleeping with the baby so I am on the sofa. I am homeless in my home now.”
The family moved from France to the U.K. in 2012 so Arnold could study mental health nursing at the University of Bedfordshire.
Before the family was placed in their current home, they were put up for about four months in a Hampton by Hilton hotel, costing over $200 per night for a total of more than $50,000, paid for by the government.
In addition to their hotel stay, the family has received an additional $60,000 in housing and child benefits, as well as child tax credits.Their rent is covered by taxpayers.
The father says their current home is not suitable for the size of his family. He says his daughters sleep on two single bunk beds in one bedroom, while his three sons share one bunk bed in another room. The entire family shares one bathroom.
Arnold says he has enlisted help from solicitors to get a house big enough to comfortably fit his entire family.
Speaking about the five-bedroom house the family was offered, Arnold said: “There wasn’t enough space for the things of 10 people. It didn’t even have a dining room.”

A spokesperson for the Luton Borough Council released a statement about the Sube family’s situation.

Despite difficulties we managed to find Mr. and Mrs. Sube affordable housing in Luton that is large enough to house them and their eight children,” the statement said. “After a generous offer on our part, we have done our bit and if housing is offered and declined without, what we judge, good reason, then we will offer property to another family.”

UNBELIEVABLE! This family is lucky to have a roof over their head. They should feel blessed. However, they EXPECT more and will GET more….at the expense of taxpayers. What a culture we have created.

What happened to this man’s sense of pride in finding a job? What happened to this man’s sense of manhood in providing his family with a job that pays for his OWN roof over his family?

First of all, you are certainly NOT homeless. Any homeless person would be grateful just to have a roof over their head and a place to sleep that’s indoors and dry.

Secondly, you have not experienced cramped living quarters unless you have been in an orphanage….where children are often literally cramped into spaces. But you sir….are NOT cramped. A 5-bedroom home provides more than enough space. CRAMPED? Give me a break!

Finally, do you SERIOUSLY feel you are neglected!? Come on man! The taxpayers have been paying over $50,000 for your housing expense ON TOP OF another $60,000 in child benefits and tax credits! You sir are NOT neglected! Maybe a spoiled sponge living off the taxpayers, but not neglected!

Let us know how you feel. Leave a comment and please share.
